Moullinex is the alter ego of Portuguese producer, dj and multi-instrumentalist Luis Clara Gomes. After establishing himself as one of the leading artists in the disco scene, with 3 albums and several singles such as Take My Pain Away and Maniac, and remixes of acts like Røyksopp, Cut Copy and Two Door Cinema Club, hes been embracing the universal love of music: no matter where you come from, who you are, and whom you choose to love. Moullinex about his collaboration with Felipe Gordon: "I have known Felipe since one of my first gigs in Bogota, years ago. I became friends with him and his crew (that later became Nómada Records). They have been doing wonders for the Colombian scene, and belong to this generation Latin American musicians who are unafraid to wear the jazz, funk, soul and house hats all at the same time. So many hats make you sweat, in the most positive way. After playing his music a lot and releasing several of his tracks on our label Forbidden Cuts, it made sense on my last stop in lovely Bogota to take some days off between tour dates and hang out at his studio to make some music. In the end we were able to do one track a day, and the result was the "Contrabando" EP, both Portuguese and Spanish for smuggling. Seems fitting.
